Completely redesigned for the iPad's high-resolution display and optimized for performance, "RandomPollock by Miltos Manetas" is an interactive artwork that offers a painting experience unlike any other, allowing people to participate through the internet and their electronic devices to virtually create and share their own artworks.
Specially written dynamics software enables the user to actually throw the paint onto the canvas in a way similar to the dripping of the American painter Jackson Pollock.
The iPad is going to change the way people interact with art and "RandomPollock" gets the dynamics of the paint just right, so that you can really experience the way Jackson Pollock painted.
Properties like elasticity, viscosity, blotting and splattering are all taken into account in the physical simulation of the paint.
Users will be able to save and share their paintings on Facebook and numerous other social networks.
“Random Pollock by Miltos Manetas” for iPad originates from the very successful ‘JacksonPollock.org’, a Webby Awards winner website as well as the iPhone app, which essentially brings the website interaction to the iPhone platform.
